It's Been Awhile!!

Wow it sure has been awhile since I have made a post. I am going to try and keep up with it more now. This will be my catch up post.

November

This was a special month. My Walker was baptized in the church that my Mom grew up in and that my grandparents still attend. We were so lucky to have all of our family and friends there. It was so amazing and could have never imagined the join I would have. The best part was when the Pastor poured the water over his head, he smiled. We also had our first Thanksgiving with Walker. We went to Arlington to spend it with my family and the Devitos.

December
The holiday season started off great by my brother-in-law proposing to my best friend Erin.  I can't believe she is going to be my sister. Christmas by far is my favorite holiday.  This Christmas was even better because I had someone new to share it with.  I think having kids is just a great excuse to keep being a kid yourself.  I can't wait till Walker understands all the great Christmas traditions.  Walker got some neat stuff.  Santa brought him some clothes and "The Laugh and Learn Table".  He was also spoiled by all the family.  Jeff also didn't disappoint as usual.  I am super spoiled.  I got the new iphone and the matching ladies watch to his.  However, the best part of this Christmas is that we had both sides of the families here at my house.  It was great to see my god-mother, great Aunt and grandparents all celebrating with us.  I also went back to work on December 1.  It was a bitter sweet moment.

January

Hello 2011!!!  I just feel this is going to be a great year.  We had a great time bringing in the New Year.  It was also great to watch TCU win the Rose Bowl.  Walker turned 4 months.  It is going by so fast.  We tried rice cereal for the first time and it didn't work out as planned.  He finally got used to it.  It was so funny to watch him try it.  I loved every minute of it.

February

Walker had his first Valentine's Day.  Walker and Jeff took me out to dinner and it was great.  We kept on trying with the cereal and we finally got it.  I was so proud of my big boy.  We also took Walker to the park for the first time.  He is such a big boy.  He rode in the stroller facing frontwards.  He loved swinging and going down the slide.  The end of the month was hard on Walker and I.  Jeff went to Japan for 10 days.  Walker and I made it but we missed Jeff lots.  It was so much fun to watch Walker see Jeff at the airport.  He was so excited to see Jeff.

March

This has been a great month.  Jeff and I were able to go a cruise during Spring Break.  We went out of Galveston.  My mom came down and watched Walker for us.  It was hard at first to leave him but Jeff and I really enjoyed ourselves.  I am so glad that we were able to go.  My mom emailed us each night, so that really helped.  When we came home Walker didn't recognize me at first.  As so as I said his name he smiled and leaped out of my mom's arms.  It was the best feeling in the world.  I was so happy to be home with him.  Walker turned 6 months on the 17th.  I can't believe that 6 months have gone by.  He can do so much.  He loves veggies and fruit.  It is so much fun to give him new stuff.  He also can sit up by himself.  It is so amazing how they develop.  This month also was Walker's first trip to the rodeo.  It was so much fun.  We took him to the petting zoo and he loved it.  During the concert I had him wear earmuffs because it was so loud.  He looked so cute!! We had a great time. I truly believe that being a Mom is the best job in the world.  This month was also special because I was baptized.  I was baptized as a baby and took my first communion as a 8th grader.  When Jeff and joined our church they require baptism by submersion.  I took this time to recommit my life to Christ.  I now consider myself "double dipped".  It was an amazing thing.   Jeff was able to baptize me which made it even more special.  God is so good!!!
